Biking/Walking Trails
As part of Searcy’s forward-thinking 20-year plan, a new trail network is on the horizon! The residents’ top request for biking and running trails is coming to life with a comprehensive system that will connect Riverside Park and the Community Center via paved trails. This plan also includes 10 miles of single-track mountain bike trails for outdoor enthusiasts.
In addition, Searcy recently announced the award of a $4.2 million RAISE Grant from the US Department of Transportation, which will fund the planning and design of the transformative Little Red Greenway project. This will extend the current 5.5-mile bike trail into a 21-mile system, connecting major hubs such as Harding University, schools, medical centers, parks, and even the nearby city of Kensett. This project is a huge leap forward in making Searcy even more accessible, safe, and sustainable.
